Diversity Council

About Us

The Student and Campus Life Diversity Council was created in 2012 to support the division’s planning and implementation of diversity priorities and the university’s new Toward New Destinations initiative. The priorities of the council for 2012-2015 addressed needs among student and staff populations at Cornell. In 2016, the purpose of the council was redirected to improve Student and Campus Life’s efforts to recruit, train, and retain a diverse staff. By focusing on these areas of staff development, the council expects to create a more welcoming, supportive, and engaging campus community for all students and staff.
